News to Use ❤ LA bans plastic bags
Bye bye plastic bags! LA is the latest city to get rid of plastic bags. I don't have an issue with being more green, BUT it bugs me that consumers are going to have to pay more. (And I don't even live in LA... maybe someday :) The measure will impose a 10 cent charge on paper bags one year after the plastic ban goes into effect. So basically consumers are the ones getting screwed. One day you get bags to carry your purchases in (yes, you are already spending money) and the next day you have to pay for a bag to carry the purchase you are already making. :( SAD face. Why can't plastic bags be banned without making shoppers foot the bill? (I mean we already help the economy out...)
Pining for ❤ A new Barbie purse
I'm absolutely loving this new Harveys seatbelt Barbie purse. I've been wanting to get a new purse that is on the smaller side--the kind you can stash your iPhone, powder and a few necessities when you are going out. And I think this might be it.... TOO adorbs! (I'm not sure about the red lips... I love it on the bag, but I tend to wear A LOT of pink which isn't going to go great with the red, but for this purse I think I would be willing to work with it.)
Spotted ❤ Bubble Bubble
This is one of my favorite spots. Bubble tea always makes me happy!

Redbox It ❤ Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

This movie should definitely be on your rental list. It's a topic that has been done before (9-11), but in a very different way. It's less about September 11 and more about the relationship between a father and his son. It was a great movie! Rent it. :)
Spotted ❤ A spot of tea
I was told that I needed to do tea before I left England and this huge tower was it! And of course black tea & milk :)
My fave was the scones! So yummy and this clotted cream stuff is quite amazing. It's like a buttery whipped cream. Calories, calories, calories! But I was walking around a lot and didn't actually gain any weight from the trip at least. :)

News to Use ❤ A cash diet?
Well according to this story, using cash can help you save 20% of your income! When I stop to think about it, this doesn't really surprise me. I've tried to do a cash only budget before and I have definitely noticed I spend less when I use cash. There is something about paper money that makes you want to hold on to some of your dollars. And there is something about swiping a Visa card that is just soooo easy. This might be a concept worth trying out if you're needing to save some $$$. I think it might be a very good idea...
News to use ❤ Skinny women aren't as attractive if they used to be fat
A recent study found that women who were currently thin were viewed as less attractive (by men and women) if they used to be overweight. So let's just get this straight, you're currently thin--but once people find out you lost 70 pounds you instantly become less attractive! How's that for weight loss motivation? I guess the key is to lose weight, move to a new city and say you were skinny your entire life.

Spotted ❤ Pyzanos Karaoke
20255 SW TV Highway
Aloha, OR
My friend Christine found a new local karaoke spot. And I thought it was karaoke heaven. They had a fabulous wireless mic and great sound. And karaoke 7 nights a week. We'll definitely be back. :)

View from the eye...
When you are in the eye, you can't even tell you are moving--the ride is that smooth. The ride was a lot of fun and you definitely get some great photo ops.

Spotted ❤ Fabulous Eats
We had some delicious meals while were traveling...
This was only the appetizer at the yummy Indian restaurant in the town where my friend lives. It was a crispy delicious onion thing that I had never tried before.
I loved this water with strawberry flavor, I've never seen it before and it was so yummy!
The full English breakfast! Their bacon is more like our ham. I loved the black pudding (you can just barely see it under the egg - it tasted like stuffing).

Cheese boards were everywhere
Orangina was also everyone!
Croque monsieur in Paris
noodles from Wagamama
Mac & Cheese & butter lettuce salad
One of the best things about traveling is getting to try out new foods! I'm not too adventurous, but I did try a lot of things that I've never had before.

Spotted ❤ A walk along La Seine
We took a walk along the river through Paris. It was a gorgeous day. Everything seemed to work out for us even the weather... which apparently shouldn't have been this nice during the end of March.

Spotted ❤ The Eiffel tour
We walked up what seemed like a zillion stairs trying to get to top of the Eiffel tour. I'm glad I can say I did it once because I never want to do it again. Last time, I just saw the Eiffel tour, but I didn't actually climb it so I'm glad we did this time. It was a cool experience viewing the city from the tower. And it was so pretty and sparkly at night with the light show! If you climb up the tower, you are supposed to be able to get a ticket that takes you rest of the way to the top. Unfortunately, we were literally minutes too late and weren't able to go to very top. I guess this just gives me something to do next time? winks

Spotted in London ❤
We spent a couple of days in London and I got sometime to explore the city. And a bit of the preparations for the Olympics.
I did one of the double-decker bus tours and got to see the city.
