Accessorize Me ♥ Hot Pink Lip Earrings

I picked up these cute little hot pink lip studs at Target.  This photo does not do them justice.  They are covered with sparkly hot pink gemstones!  And now they are on sale for $3.48 and I'm a little annoyed.  But you can pick up them up for a steal now.

I was super excited about my new polka dot tights!  They were super cute in person, but we had a major issues trying to photograph them.  This was the best shot.

Thanks to Warren for taking the photos!

Worker Bee Mondays ♥ Actions for Success

Whoa, is it really already Monday again?  Yes, they come so fast.  I hope you had an excellent Thanksgiving weekend.  I got to eat turkey and karaoke, what more could a girl ask for?

This week's article is from a Forbes contributor about the Top 6 Actions the Promote Career Success.  I don't know about you, but I can always use some more tips when it comes to this arena, so let's see what we can learn on a Monday.  :)

1. Gaining Clarity
You must understand exactly what you want and what matters most to you.  It can't be some vague, nebulous notion like "I want to do something meaningful."

2. Transforming Desperation Into Inspiration
We must learn how to "turn our desperation into inspiration"... to move away from feeling desperate, victimized and out of control in the face of your professional challenges.

3. Enforcing Your Boundaries
Once you know what you want, you have to be strong enough to protect your boundaries, honor your priorities.

4. Committing Yourself 1000%
To be successful in life and work, it takes commitment that doesn't wane.

5. Communicating Powerfully
Highly successful professionals and entrepreneurs are typically very captivating storytellers.

6. Nurturing Empowered Relationships
Invest time and energy in building mutually-beneficial relationships and solid bonds.

Motivation Monday

I hope you have a wonderful week honeybees! XOXO

Bookends ♥ Blood Promise

Blood Promise by Richelle Mead
Vampire Academy Series

This series just keeps getting better and better!  This is the fourth book in the Vampire Academy series and it might be my favorite one yet.  We learn a lot more about how the Vampire world interacts with the human world outside the school and in the real world.  In this book, Rose strikes out on her own determined to right a wrong.  I promise Blood Promise is an entertaining read.

♥♥♥♥♥= AMAZING true love

Make It Up ♥ Circle RX

Physicans Formula Circle RX concealer

This is the latest drug store concealer I purchased.  I chose it because it is supposed to visibly reduce the appearance of dark circles.  After 2 weeks, there is supposed to be a 70% dark circle reduction and after 4 weeks, there is supposed to be a 90% dark circle reduction.  Unfortunately, the applicator pretty much ruins it for me.  It's like a pen that you squish for concealer to come out, but it's really easy for way too much concealer to blob out.  I got to do the Kim Kardashian contouring where you use concealer all over under you eye and cheek to add more light because so much came out the first couple times.  And a bad applicator is enough to make me not want to use the product.  I don't love the consistency of the product and I haven't noticed the dramatic reduction in my dark circles.

RedBox It ♥ Darling Companion, isn't very darling at all...

I picked this movie up at the Redbox because it looked like a heartwarming story about a dog and his owner.  Plus, it has Diane Keaton in it!  You would think it was going to be a lovely story about a dog and his owner (how can you mess that up?)... but the storyline was sorely lacking.  I never heard of this movie and I never really thought that was a bad thing until now.  Don't rent Darling Companion... I'm pretty sure any other option would be better.

In honor of Breaking Dawn Part 2, Furball Friday is this little cute wolf! Happy Friday Honey Bees

Pining for ♥ Lucky Jeans

I was doing a little Christmas shopping at Macy's and I discovered they now carry Lucky Brand plus size jeans.  This is a first!  I tried on a pair of the boot style jeans and I loved them.  They retail for $118.  I know fit is is unique for each and every person, but the jeans fit me very well and were super flattering!  Definitely something to check out :)

Also, Macy's has Hydraulic jeans back in stock.  This has been my go-to brand recently and I'm so glad Macy's is carrying the jeans again.  For some reason, they did stop carrying the jeans for a while, but they are back and in a rainbow of colors right now!  I did resist and did not purchase any new jeans yet, but it's good to know they are close-by when I need a pair. :)

Spotted ♥ Veggie Grill

The vegan chain Veggie Grill has made it's way to Beaverton, Oregon.  It's a cute cafe.  I love portabella burgers so I tried Veggie Grill's version.  I also upgraded my side to the sweet potato fries (nom nom).  My meal was delicious, however, the main problem was it didn't have any protein so I was still pretty hungry.  This meant I got to try the delicious carrot cake though.  The food is good and it's defintiely a healthier option, but it seems expensive for what you get, but at least you don't have to tip!

Make & Take ♥ Crochet Corset Style Fingerless Mittens

This is a pair of corset style fingerless mittens.  I adjusted a pattern for fingerless mittens to add space for ribbon.  It takes four times the length of the fingerless mittens to have enough ribbon to create the corset design and tie a bow at the bottom by the wrist.

Make & Take ♥ Popcorn cupcakes

My friend made this AWESOME cupcake that looks like a tiny bag of popcorn!  She made tiny marshmellows look like popcorn kernels and I think it's pretty much the coolest thing ever.  It definitely made my day.

Pining for ♥ Big polka dots!

♥American Rag
♥$54 at Macy's

How adorbs is this top? LOVE!

On the Tube ♥ Voting Day

  ***SPOILERS BELOW***
Tonight was a new episode of Hart of Dixie and it was Voting Day!  Lavon and Ruby continued battle it out in the mayoral race.  Lavon was very distracted by Ruby... and Lemon didn't seem any too pleased to find out Lavon was still interested in Ruby.  (Okay, this might be an understatement...)
Brick is very grouchy this episode, love troubles? Zoe to the rescue.

Wade & Zoe seem alright...

Ruby is looking ravishing in red

I love this outfit!  So patriotic, so cute.  I think a red skirt might be a nice wardrobe addition.  Here's a pretty plus size red skirt from Calvin Klein at Macy's.
Calvin Klein Plus Size Skirt on sale for $70.99

But Lavon wins!
He also wins a kiss from Ruby... (Oh, how I love my Tuesdays thanks to Hart of Dixie)

Spotted ♥ A Blazers game

It was my friend's birthday, a perfect excuse to go to a Blazers game!  It was so much fun.  And I even got this cute hat. :)
 Basketball players... enough said.

Bookends ♥ Shadow Kiss

And I’m onto the third book in The Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead.  I just love this series!  Now that I’ve started, I can’t wait to read them all.  The main character Rose seemed a little annoying at the beginning of this book, but no worries by the end of the book things got very interesting and action-packed.  It was another fabulous read!  I dreamed about vampires last night.  And a warning…I was looking online to purchase the last two books and I read the description and it had a huge spoiler I would have preferred to not read.  So don’t read any of the backs of the books!

Redbox It ♥ This Means War

Bring on the cheese.  Bring on the chick flick.  This was a cute movie where two CIA agents fight over the blonde.  (Who else does blonde better than Miss Witherspoon?)  It's funny, entertaining and lighthearted AND $1.20 at Redbox.  So worth the price!

Bookends ♥ Frostbite

This is the second book in the The Vampire Academy Series by Richelle Mead.  During this book, you get to see Christian and Lissa’s relationship progress and meet Rose's mom.  There is also some drama as a royal sets her sights on Dimitri.  It was another entertaining read and was pretty action packed, especially at the end of the book.  It was just as good as the first book, maybe even better!  Highly recommended reading for fun ♥♥♥

Furball Friday ♥ A little piglet

In honor of my friend Christine's upcoming Birthday, Furball Friday is this adorable little piglet!

News to Use ♥ Luxury Make Up Products Worth the Price Tag

I'm a girl who loves a good deal... who doesn't?  But I also know you can spend so much money on product after product and it would have been cheaper and you would have been happier to just splurge on a product that actually works.

Well Allure magazine has made the call on the beauty products they say are worth the price!

Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara - $30
It's a best of beauty winner because it doesn't clump or flake and delivers full almost fake-looking lashes.  (I do want to try this... I love FAKE eyelashes :)

Clé de Peau Beauté Lip Gloss - $48
This smooth lip gloss is not sticky and has a burst of lasting color according to Allure.  ($48?  No way.  I don't care how amazing this lip gloss is)

Prady Candy Scrub - $75
A scrub that is grainy enough to buff away rough patches, but doesn't feel scratchy.  (I guess we are just figuring out here that I do have limits.  $75 on a scrub?  Not gonna happen either.  But it does come in a pretty pink jar.)

Edward Bess Quad Royale - $45
This four powder quad can be used anywhere to give a natural sun-kissed look.  (I would probably like this... but I'm not dying to try it.)

Dr. Brandt Time Arrest Creme de Luxe - $200
Allure says this anti-aging cream has "mighty arsenal of ingredients to battle a range of skin foes."  (EEEEKK $200?  I can't ever get wrinkles! OK, I already have a few, but I can't get anymore.)

La Prairie Cellular Lip Renewal Concentrate - $105
This lip treatment exfoliates and hydrates the lips and a tiny drop makes lips softer and naturally pinker.  (This actually sounds pretty amazing... but woooo $105.)

Leonor Greyl Shampooing Reviviscence - $65
Allure says, "This transformative shampoo justifies its price tag by bringing brittle hair back to life with just one wash."  (I probably need this...)

Rodin Olio Lusso Luxury Face Oil - $150
Make-up artists use a couple drops to add a dewy sheen to clients faces.  (I can't imagine using oil on this face, but I think it's because of my constant battle with acne that has been going on pretty much forever.)

Prevage Day Ultra Protection Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 30 PA++ - $129
It's a lightweight anti-aging sunscreen with a fruity scent.  (I do like things that smell nice... :)

Sachajuan Volume Powder - $32
A great dry shampoo?  (Well Suave works OK for me and it's only $3... so)

Clarisonic Aria - $199
This is an electric facial cleansing brush recommended by dermatologists.  (I'm definitely intrigued and Allure says they had radiant glowing skin after a couple weeks of use...)

If you want to read more about these products and why Allure choose them as worth their price tag, click her to see the full article

Does anyone use these products?  What do you think, worth the splurge?

♥Black long line cami by Forever 21
Bright blue leopard pants by Forever 21
♥Black shoes by Soft Spots

I love the bright blue leopard pants!  They are super comfy and soft.  The leopard print is also surprisingly camouflaging and flattering.

♥ Avocado Deliciousness

This was pretty much the tastiest thing ever!  It is a fried avocado stuffed with other yummy things like cream cheese.  My friend  Michelle and I agreed it was AMAZING.

Hair Do ♥ Makeover

I just love a good makeover...
from DRAB

to FAB

I super loved my hot red tips, but be warned people red fades fast!!!  So this time I decided to get dark red on the tips (no more bleach).  It's a subtle, but still pretty.  And it's fading, but defintiely not as fast as the bright red did.

Furball Friday ♥

Have a great day!!!

Make it Up ♥ Lauren Conrad's Cat Eyes

Lauren Conrad's Cat Eyes... or at least my attempt :)

I'm really not used to wearing so little eye make up!  It felt very natural to me with such a thin line of liquid eyeliner and no eyeliner on the bottom.  Lauren Conrad has a wonderful tutorial on her famous cat eyes in her Style book.  Basically, you draw a thin line of black eyeliner across you top lid and end exactly in the corner.  Then you draw a short line from the corner of your eye upwards (in line with the end of your eyebrow seemed to be a good marker for me).  Then you smooth the corner out with a small swoop stroke connecting the line by your lash line to the one you drew upwards.  I used Urban Decay's black liquid eyeliner which does work wonders better the one I tried from a drug store, but you pay for it.  $19 to be exact.  Do you do cat eyes?
