Odds & Ends ❤ Reversible Jeans?!?

Okay, I was super excited when I saw these jeans... maybe a little too excited.  Or maybe I'm just easily amused.  Or MAYBE getting two pairs of jeans for the price of one is really fabulous!

The first side is your basic dark denim skinny....

The second side is a black lace pattern that I really like...

They retail for $58.50 from Torrid.  I believe these jeans should make the shopping list, folks. :)

Nail It ❤ Spring Toesies

I'm hoping the sun will show up soon! :)  Now I'm ready for sandal season... although, I could use some new sandals.

Quotable ❤ Lord of the Rings

All we have to decide is what to do with the
time that is given to us.

source: allmoviephoto.com

I was watching Lord of the Rings this evening.  And what Gandalf said during the first movie in the trilogy rings true!  A great quote for a Sunday evening and almost the beginning of a new week.  So whether you're working or playing, do it with the realization that life is about all the little moments that make up your life.

Pining For ❤ A Spring Kimono

How fabulous would this Kimono be for Spring?  I'm still pretending it's going to be Spring any day here in PDX.  Since my trip to N Cali, I've been completely spoiled and really decided it was Spring.  Although, Oregon weather is failing to agree with me for the most part.  Nonetheless, I love this Kimono!  I think it would be super easy to wear, flattering and add a pop of floral.

Make & Take

Rosey Posey ❤

This is a fun crochet project to make a rose brooch.  You can crochet a big rose and make it whatever size you want!  This one is about 3 inches across.  Next, cut a felt circle and glue it to the back with industrial strength glue (E-6000).  Make sure to let this completely dry (about 24 hours).  Use strong thread to attach the pin to the rose.  Be sure to sew the pin through the felt to the actual rose for a good strong attachment.

Take it to the maxi

Would you believe I bought this dress after a guy I liked half way asked me out?  I had no clue what he was talking about and he had a girlfriend as far as I knew... so I waited for him to finish asking me out, which he never did... so I wore the dress in Vegas.  His loss!  Boys may fail you again and again ladies, but a great maxi dress?  NEVER.  It will always tell you that you are pretty and always take you out.

I made the trip to the X factor auditions in San Francisco!  It was definitely an interesting experience, which I will be writing a blog about soon, but for now I wanted to share this link. We are the first photo on the article! It features my *pretty* signs. :)

A feathered elegance ❤

These long feather earrings are simply fabulous!  They are made of super light gold chains with tons of little black feathers.  They elongate your neck and add some style.  (Oh, and I got them at Forever 21 so they are easy on your wallet.)

Your face

Pink punch

I've been wanting to try Maybelline's Baby Lips ever since I saw the adorable packaging.

It's described as 8 hour moisture + lip renewal and it is AMAZING.  I used it the first night and I could see a difference by the next morning.  It even makes my lips look fuller because they are better moisturized.  The "clinical strength" lip balm has an SPF of 20.  I'm not really sure what clinical strength lip balm means... except they did a clinical study and after four weeks lips were 82% visibly less dry, 94% less rough, 77% more supple and 77% better looking.  Well you don't have to wait a month... I saw immediate results.  I picked the pink punch flavor.  It's a nice fruity flavor and has a bright pink color.  So go ahead and baby those lips!

Lauren Conrad & The Fame Game

source: bn.com

The lovely Miss Conrad made a stop in Portland to promote her latest book.  The novel is a fictional take on Hollywood and reality TV, a topic she is quite familiar with.  The event was fabulous.  It was well-organized.  You had to purchase Lauren's latest book to get it signed.  You received a wristband which saved your spot in line to get it signed.

My friends and Lauren Conrad fans all joined in for the event!  Warren, Holly & Julie... I appreciate that I have friends that will do this kind of thing with me. :)

This was the line to get the book signed!  I was actually surprised it wasn't longer.  However, it was a good thing because she was only signing books for a couple of hours and while I anticipated more people, it's a good thing there wasn't because everyone would not have gotten their book signed.  There were at least 300 people there because we were in the 250s and there were probably another 100 people behind us.

This was the ONLY photo I was able to get of Lauren Conrad at the event.  You could take photos from the line, but since there were constantly people in line - you couldn't actually see her to take a photo from line and when you went up to table to get your book signed you couldn't take photos.  LAME!  This was my main disappointment, although I wasn't surprised.  I snapped this photo on my phone when we were walking away, but you weren't even supposed to do that and her security person came to tell us to move after I took it.

However, Lauren herself was a doll!  (As my friend, Julie told her.  Although, Lauren was a little confused... it was a total compliment.)  She was so petite.  I am always surprised how tiny celebrities are in person.  She was tiny, but looked flawless and gorgeous!  She was wearing a cute little dress and her signature winged liquid eyeliner.

And of course, the final result, my signed copy of The Fame Game!
