Win Some, Lose Some - Carrie Diaries

Carrie Dairies is back on Fridays on the CW.  I'm hoping this is not a bad sign.  A Friday night time slot seems to be the kiss of death for so many shows and I quite enjoy this one.  As always, it's super easy to catch up online too.  This show is pretty much exactly what I thought NYC would be like.  That is until I actually lived there for a summer and it was pretty much the most unglamorous thing ever.  I much prefer The Carrie Diaries version of NYC then the actual sweaty, expensive and grimy real life version.  The Carrie Diaries is your perfect saucy high school soap opera.  And this particular episode was a great start to the new season!

The Nemesis

Let the cat fight begin.  Carrie's new relationship hit a round bump as the most popular girl in school set her sights on Carrie's beau.  Carrie also managed to lie (this week's theme) out of a tricky situation at work.  It was another great episode... AND fun fact.  Did you know Vanessa Hudgens is dating Carrie's love interest, actor Austin Butler?  Me either!  Are you watching The Carrie Diaries?  What do you think?

I have been super curious about CW's new show The Carrie Diaries which premiered last week.

I'm loving AnnaSophia Robb as Carrie Bradshaw... could they have found anyone more adorable with great curly hair?

And even though Carrie's mom just died, it's clear from the beginning this teenage drama is going to be about L-O-V-E.  Yeah, it's a little cheesy show about high school, but that can be a lot of fun.

It's fun to see the fashionista in the making!  And the start to Carrie's love for Manhattan.  It's definitely not Sex in the City but you can still get carried away with The Carrie Diaries.  Watch the first episode online. :)
