Spotted ❤ Fashions of the Willamette Country Music Festival

It was a hot weekend at the Willamette Country Music Festival… and I only hope there is something about the heat that made attendees crazy and wear outfits they would NEVER normally wear.  I do think there is something about the hot weather that gives people a pass to wear whatever they want (whether they should or not).  I wish I had a camera (preferably a spy cam) to take photos of all the awful outfits.  Neon pink bras with a mauve pink see thru lace top, shorts so short and tight they really can’t be called short anymore and the classic guy wearing overalls with nothing else.  Luckily, I also got to see some of my favorite country music stars Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, Martina McBride and The Band Perry’s Kimberly Perry wearing adorable outfits!  (Phew)

She looked absolutely stunning in her colorful outfit.  She was very pretty and very pregnant.  She also put on a great performance and danced all around the stage and shook her little baby belly.

Martina was absolutely gorgeous and put on a great show.  Her outfit was all about the glamour and sparkles, which is right up my alley.  Also, I feel the need to note her performance was my absolute favorite!

Kimberly Perry was easily the most energetic little firecracker.  She is the winner for best hair.  It was a wavy all over and held back in a loose pony tail.

I am dubbing Billy Currintgon as trendy cowboy.  He was absolutely adorable with his curly hair.  He wore a trendy tee and jeans and put on a baseball cap about half way through his set.  His whole band was very hip dressed in tight jeans and colorful tees.  I had no idea this was the guy that sung so many of my favorite songs on the radio.  He is definitely the unexpected cowboy.

Make & Take ❤ Fall is coming...

It's going to be here before we know it and it will time to get those hooks moving again.  What fall projects are you going to make?  Any crocheters or knitters out there?  What is the project you have been waiting to do?  I have a pattern for a fabulous pair of long fingerless mittens and a super fun purse that I have been wanting to make. :)

Spotted ❤ A Crème brûlée banana split

Pretty much heaven in a banana split.  I tried Chevy's newest dessert.  The bananas have a crispy Crème brûlée caramelization on the bananas that is AMAZINGsauce.

Make & Take ❤ A New Vanna Yarn

Vanna now has a brand new yarn called Vanna's Sequins!  I haven't seen it in stores yet, but I'm guessing we'll be seeing it soon.  It's described as a soft yarn with matching sequins to add a little sparkle to your projects.  I do love Vanna's other yarns especially for crocheting little animals.  The colors are lovely and the yarn is nice and lofty.  Will you be checking out this new yarn?

Pining For ❤ Black, Red & Spicy all over

This dress is hot!  It's available at Forever 21 for $29.80.  I also have other BIG new for Portland area shoppers.  They have opened a HUGE new Forever 21 at Clackamas Town Center!  (I haven't actually seen it yet, but this is what I hear.)  And it has a plus size section.  Yippee.  You don't need to drive to the Tacoma Mall to get to one anymore. :)

Your Face ❤ Grow those lashes!

So I'm really excited!  I've been using Latisse (well, actually the generic version from India... but that's another story, girl's gotta pay the bills).  I started using it at the end of May.  I'm a little farther than half way through the growth period (it takes 4 months for full results).  And I have to say I'm super excited! My lashes have grown to at least double their original length!  I still have a month an half left to see how long they are going to get.  It's still no replacement for fake lashes when you're getting dolled up, but it definitely makes a difference for your everyday look.  I'll be doing another report at the end of my 4 months.  Have you used Latisse?  What did you think?

Make it up ❤ Make up in 5 mins?

I'm pretty fast at putting on make-up (well, at least I can be... I can also take forever to do a full going out face).  This article gives you 6 steps to do your make up in under 5 minutes!  I feel like I need to try it out sometime and see if I can really do it.

1. Sheer foundation to even out

2. Concealer (bye bye dark circles)

3. Highlighter (I'm surprised they put this in a 5 minute make up article... I don't use highlighter on a daily basis, but it certainly has a good effect)

4. Liner (YES! This is a must)

5. Mascara

6. Blush (I think you could also go with bronzer)
