Sarah and Rosie work at The Plumper Pumpkin Patch, a super cute little farm near Hillsboro, OR. This is a great place to bring the kids or the kids at heart.

You still have some time left before Halloween, if you're local and want to take a trip to the pumpkin patch. They have animals, lots of activities for kids and kettle corn! You have to pay a small fee to get in ($5). And there are lots of photo-ops (as you can see above).
Only a few more days to Halloween honeybees... are you ready?

Yo Zone is Yo Fun!
Who doesn't love Frozen Yogurt? I'm sure there is someone out there... actually, I guess I know 1 person who is not a big fan of awesome yogurt shops where you get to make your own yogurt creation! This can mean very pretty yogurt creations or something a little crazy! Like this...
There is actually Strawberry Lemonade yogurt under all those other goodies. And it is seriously delicious!
You can make your frozen yogurt creation as healthy (or unhealthy as you desire). My Yo Zone fave is the PEANUT BUTTER topping. Seriously amazing with the hot fudge and cheesecake pieces.
Yo Zone is a family business, actually fellow blogger Rachel's family. If you're local and want to check it out sometime, here are the deets. And let me know what you think! Or better yet... let Rachel know. ;)

NW Travels ♥ Lincoln City
I took a trip to Lincoln City, Oregon from my birthday. We stayed at the Looking Glass Inn in historic Lincoln City. It was a lovely hotel just across from the bay and walking distance to Mo's, one of my favorite restaurants at the coast. I would highly recommend the Whirlpool Suite!
We also had a delicious birthday breakfast at Slappy Cakes. Warren tried the dried cherries and homemade nutella and he raved about the chocolotely hazelnut concoction. I had the PB pancake batter, chocoloate chips, bacon and whipped cream (the whipped cream was because it was my BDAY). Sooooo good! Slappy Cakes is just awesome - try it if you haven't.

NW Travels ♥ Keith Sweats it Out
Warren, Holly and I took a little trip to see Keith Sweat at the Spirit Mountain Casino. (Julie was supposed to come, but her man was really sick.) It was a fabulous night and pure entertainment! The concerts at Spirit Mountain also tend to have a great price point. There are a lot of shows I would like to see, but by the time I find out about it... the tickets are already sold out. So you have to keep an eye on upcoming shows and buy them quick!
The audience was as much fun to watch as the show! We saw patchwork jeans from the 90s, sparkly leggings, belly shirts, dancing cowgirls and full length fur coats. It was cray cray. Warren had a brilliant quote, which I now cannot remember but trust me it was a hilarious night. When Keith Sweat invited some people up on stage, things got so complicated that he was unable to perform his song (again hilarious). He did an awesome job working the crowd.
Keith Sweat also plugged his new website True Love Meets. Keith Sweat personally promised to screen the men... so single ladies, there you go!
And in case you need a refresher... watch Keith Sweat's Twisted! If he comes back to town again, I'm so there.

Good Eats ♥ Potbelly
It's a sandwich shop! They just opened in Tanasbourne, OR five weeks ago. There is also a location in Portland, OR. I spent a semester in Washington, DC during grad school working at ABC News and there was a Potbelly right around the corner. It was one of my favorite lunch spots. They have really yummy sandwiches and milkshakes. And I'm sooooo excited that now we have one in Oregon to enjoy. Seriously, try it out! You will not regret.

So Potbelly, pretty much made my Sunday... but then I got to go to a Blazers game too! It was a Stanford alumni event and it was soooo much fun. I even got to meet a player Robin Lopez that went to Stanford. He has the best hair!
So all in all, a fabulous Sunday! (I even got a red top for like $4 to wear to the game... and I picked up a couple other tops for a steal also. Yay Macy's clearance rack) I just don't want to work tomorrow... I would rather just go shopping and to basketball games please! You know... the fun stuff :) I'll be dreaming of basketball players. XOXO honey bees!

Spotted ❤ My First Bazaar of 2012
I went to my first craft bazaar of the year yesterday! I'm hoping to do more craft shows this year and I'm glad I started early because I have A LOT of work to do. It forced me to get organized and go through my inventory and figure out what I want to focus on for my upcoming shows. I also have a lot of work to do on my display. But overall, the event was a lot of fun and I met some friendly folks. I even ran into one of my favorite elementary school teachers who also had a booth at the show. She said she always remembered me being so independent, which made me smile.
This is one of the Mizche head wraps!

Spotted ❤ Fashions of the Willamette Country Music Festival
It was a hot weekend at the Willamette Country Music Festival… and I only hope there is something about the heat that made attendees crazy and wear outfits they would NEVER normally wear. I do think there is something about the hot weather that gives people a pass to wear whatever they want (whether they should or not). I wish I had a camera (preferably a spy cam) to take photos of all the awful outfits. Neon pink bras with a mauve pink see thru lace top, shorts so short and tight they really can’t be called short anymore and the classic guy wearing overalls with nothing else. Luckily, I also got to see some of my favorite country music stars Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles, Martina McBride and The Band Perry’s Kimberly Perry wearing adorable outfits! (Phew)

She looked absolutely stunning in her colorful outfit. She was very pretty and very pregnant. She also put on a great performance and danced all around the stage and shook her little baby belly.
♥ Cream blazer with rainbow wings
♥ Red feather earrings
♥ Long feather necklace
♥ Teal tank
♥ Red skinnies
♥ Bright orange sandals
Martina McBride

Martina was absolutely gorgeous and put on a great show. Her outfit was all about the glamour and sparkles, which is right up my alley. Also, I feel the need to note her performance was my absolute favorite!
♥ Champagne sequin blazer
♥ Black top
♥ Sparkly black scarf – multi layered
♥ Black pants – shiny leather look
The Band Perry’s Kimberly Perry

Kimberly Perry was easily the most energetic little firecracker. She is the winner for best hair. It was a wavy all over and held back in a loose pony tail.
♥ Dark gold sparkle draped tank
♥ Navy blue tiered mini skirt
♥ Tall black boots with a heel

I am dubbing Billy Currintgon as trendy cowboy. He was absolutely adorable with his curly hair. He wore a trendy tee and jeans and put on a baseball cap about half way through his set. His whole band was very hip dressed in tight jeans and colorful tees. I had no idea this was the guy that sung so many of my favorite songs on the radio. He is definitely the unexpected cowboy.

Spotted ❤ A not so Golden Valley
I decided to go for the Alaskan Cod Fish & Chips. The menu said "the best fish & chips in Oregon" and menus don't lie, right?
To put it simply...
My brother said, "I don't think this place is going to make it."
My mom said, "Melissa would never eat this. The meat is the texture of gristle." (She had the beef brisket sandwich)
My sister-in-law said, "the sauce is bland" (on her pasta).
And yes... Menus do lie. Definitely not the best fish & chips in Oregon. Sorry, Golden Valley! Cute look, good service, but bad food. (I don't drink beer, the beer could be good.)
