Hair Do ♥ Color Me Ribbons

This is not my hair, I have no idea who's hair this is... but isn't it amazing?  I wish I had played more with color back before I was an adult and couldn't dye my hair fun colors.  I guess we just need to all be rock stars and we can dye our hair whatever color we want! ;)  Or I guess when I'm an old lady, I will finally have purple hair. :)

Right now, I'm trying to grow out my hair a bit.  I'm not sure how long I'll get it... it will probably still be pretty short.  But I would love to be able to put it up with out tons of short little hairs that will not fit into my pathetic little pony tails (I already have a lot of progress in this area).  This weekend I saw a girl who had her hair on the top of head and it looked like a peacock.  I absolutely loved it.  If I ever get hair that long again (this may never happen) I'm totally wearing it on top of my head like a peacock.

I also am on the hunt for a way to wear my very short hair up for work that looks some what professional.  All I can really do is just put it in a tiny pony tail because of it's length... so I'm thinking maybe if I get a few cute barrettes or something it might look a little classier?

I super loved my hot red tips, but be warned people red fades fast!!!  So this time I decided to get dark red on the tips (no more bleach).  It's a subtle, but still pretty.  And it's fading, but defintiely not as fast as the bright red did.

Hair Do ❤ Red Tips

I was inspired by Jwoww's red tips.  I thought they were so pretty & fun!  

My next though was... hmmm... maybe I could do red tips!  It took me a looooong time to grow my hair out completley au naturale.  However, it's been natural for a couple years now and I wanted to do something different.  My lovely hair dresser in Portland, OR Yen hooked me up.  And I've never gotten more compliments in one day ever!  Then downside is you have to be careful to try and preserve the vibrant red color (cool water only and red shampoo).

It's super fun, but be warned if you do a bold color like this it's annoying when your clothes don't match your hair!  But on a positive note, I really like that you don't need to worry about roots with this style (it's part of the look).  And the first part you'll cut off is the dyed tips anyway. :)  Now who is going to do some purple tips like Katy Perry?  I would love some purple tips, but I don't think I could get away with it at work.

A bit of curl ❤

This is a super easy look when you want to do something different than straight hair.  I find that my curls fall out super quickly so use a bit of hair spray to keep some volume.  I'm always intimidated by curling my hair because it seems to take forever, but when you use a big curling iron and have short hair--it really doesn't take too much longer than straightening your hair.

❤Blow dry your hair completely

❤Make a side part in your hair

❤Use a one inch curling iron to create big curls all around your head

❤Secure a little bit of hair to the side with black bobby pins

❤Use hairspray to keep those curls from falling out!
