Saving Mr. Banks is a GREAT movie

Some things Disney just does right and the movie Saving Mr. Banks is definitely one of them.  This movie is everything I hoped for and more.  It was inspirational.  It was funny and sad and filled with superb actors like Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson.  It was much more than a couple hours of entertainment.  It was the kind of movie that makes you think in a good way.

By the way, did you know that Walt Disney was from Missouri?  Maybe I did at some point, but I had forgotten until I watched Saving Mr. Banks.  I spent a number of years in Missouri during college and it seemed fitting that Walt Disney was from Missouri.  Some really great people seem to hail from the Midwest.  I think I'm going to read a biography on Walt Disney.  I read that Walt Disney also worked in Journalism.  I majored in Journalism myself and I think I might learn a bit from Walt Disney.  I'll let you know what I end up reading about the great Walt Disney.

At the Cinema ♥ Oz the Great and Powerful

Disney does it again!  This movie is amazing, it's everything you want it to be!  I would highly recommend you spend the few extra dollars to see it in 3D.  They did great job with the usage of the 3D visuals.  Some of the flower petals appear right out in front of you and are just incredible.  This movie is definitely a different take on the story of Oz, but I was expecting that... I haven't wrote a blog on it yet, but I actually was at the taping of a James Franco interview for Conan (with Warren).  This was an incredible movie--the best movie I've seen in quite a while!

Disney ears for your ride?  Does it get any better?  This is one of my very favorite souvenirs from my trip Southern California.  It's an adorable red and pink cupcake antenna topper with silver dots and of course EARS!

My goal for this trip was to get EARS and wear them around Disneyland all day.  I picked sparkly black and red sequined Minnie ears.  My friend Jackie agreed they were the most popular ears around the park.  Next visit, I want to get a caricature.  (I love goal-setting, don't you?)
